Doctor G Family Medical Services in Elizabeth City, NC is looking for one full-time cross trained medical receptionist/medical assistant to join our growing team. We are located on 902 B Roanoke Ave.. Our ideal candidate is self-driven, ambitious, and reliable.
Responsibilities
- Greeting patients in a friendly, professional manner using the suggested script.
- Maintaining a positive, empathetic, and professional attitude toward patients at all times.
- Responding promptly to customer inquiries.
- Communicating with customers through various channels, including heavy phone volume
- Treat all PHI with respect and care, following strict HIPAA guidelines
Qualifications
- Prior experience in a medical setting, ideally a medical office,
- Provide exceptional patient service
- Correct usage and pronunciation of Medical Terminology and common medications
- Computer literate with an above-average typing speed.
- Superb verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to stay calm when patients are stressed or upset.
- Self starter with an ability to work well within a team.
- Perform basic clinical procedures (EKG, vaccines, INR, ear lavage, etc.)
- Medication reconciliation
- Prepare and sanitize exam rooms
- Communicate effectively with patients, providers, and staff
- Maintain clinical supplies and infection control standards
- Perform clerical duties as needed
