Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced construction laborer to work with us on our vast assortment of jobs. Our jobs frequently involve carpentry, operating machinery, welding, concrete form work, and other general construction/fabrication. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of construction practices with willingness to learn and pick up new skills.
Skills/Trades that translate well into our industry:
- Hardscape/ landscape laborer
- Equipment operator (Excavators, forklifts, skid steers, tele-handlers)
- Construction laborer
- Metal Fabrication
- Carpentry
- Concrete
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and navigate equipment safely and efficiently
- Operate hand and power tools such as saws and angle grinders
- Work with crew members to install seawalls, dock piles, docks, and decking.
- Collaborate with project managers to plan and execute marine construction activities.
- Communicate effectively with team members
Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of construction safety regulations and best practices.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in diverse weather conditions and at varying hours, if needed.
- Ability to travel to job sites and office locations in West Milford NJ and nearby locations
- Valid Driver License
