What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mental Health Clinician (2 years experience) position at Doc Wayne, Inc.?
SUMMARY:
Doc Wayne is seeking a Massachusetts-based Fee-for-Service (FFS) Clinician to provide high-quality, client-centered mental health services via telehealth and at our Framingham location specifically. Reporting to the Senior Director of Clinical Programs, the FFS Clinician will deliver individual and group therapy to diverse youth and adult populations. They will maintain a flexible caseload based on availability and client need and complete appropriate clinical documentation in a timely manner. Candidates must be licensed or license-eligible and ready to contribute to Doc Wayne’s mission-driven, team environment.
The FFS Clinician is a per-diem employee position that is not eligible for benefits. The work schedule is up to 19 hours between 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM eastern time, Monday through Saturday. It is a hybrid role requiring the ability to see some clients via telehealth and at our Framingham office (860 Worcester Rd. Framingham, MA, 01702). The start date is on a rolling basis.
Compensation is based on licensure and the type of duty performed. See examples below.
License-Eligible Professionals :
- Intake Assessment: $100/hr
- Individual Counseling: $55/hr
Independently Licensed (LICSW, LMHC, etc.):
- Intake Assessment: $100/hr
- Individual Counseling: $65/hr
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide ongoing mental health and/or substance abuse services through individual and/or group therapy. Services may include:
- Outpatient mental health and substance use services for children, adolescents, and adults
- Movement-based mental health and/or addiction counseling when indicated
- Mental health and substance use evaluations
- Problem gambling and gambling addiction services
- Court- and DCF-mandated substance use counseling
- Anger management services for adults and youth
- Conduct an initial diagnostic assessments and complete required clinical documentation
- Maintain case records to highest standards, including all intake documentation, and weekly therapy notes within 2 business days from date of service
- Deliver telehealth in compliance with agency, licensing, and accreditation standards
- Handle any client materials (printed or electronic) with confidentiality and compliance to HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2 standards
- Present cases for discussion at team meetings
- Refer and consult with the clinical supervisor about any person served who may need a different level of care, is inappropriate for current level of care, requires change or revision in treatment plan, or transfer to another agency
- Develop and update treatment plans as required, identifying specific treatment goals and target dates of attainment
- Seek consultation and coordination from team members and supervisor(s) on challenging treatment cases
- Process authorization or refusal of authorization to communicate and coordinate with all service providers involved with person served, including Primary Care Physicians
- Complete onboarding and annual trainings in a timely manner
- Attend individual supervision on a bi-weekly or monthly basis depending on licensure
- Attend team meetings as needed
- Follow all agency policies and procedures
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required:
- Master’s degree in social work, counseling, or related field (independent licensure highly preferred)
- Preferred credentials include: LMHC, LADC-I, LADC-II, CADAC, LICSW, LFMT, or MA PGS certification and meet 105 CMR 168.00
- 2-3 years prior experience working with individuals impacted by trauma, substance use or mental health challenges or leading group therapy session
- Experience with software such as the Google Workplace (e.g. Gmail, Gcal, Drive, GDocs, etc.), Zoom, eHana, and Relias
- Cultural awareness and humility with an understanding of the way in which systems of oppression impact the mental health needs of low-income communities
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to multi-task efficiently
- Demonstrated committed to equitable, trauma-informed care
- Multilingual skills, particularly in Spanish or Portuguese, are preferred
