What are the responsibilities and job description for the Host Hostess at Docs position at Doc's Marina Grill?
The Host/Hostess is responsible for providing a warm welcome to Doc’s guests, managing the phone lines, receiving and distributing take out orders, and escorting customers to their preferred dining areas, providing menus and silverware before communicating with service staff to ensure all parties are greeted in a timely manner. We do our best to cater to our local community and those who require extra attention.
Job Requirements:
• Good physical condition to walk and stand during entire shift
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to monitor all dining areas
• Excellent communication skills via phone and in person with team members and guests
• Demonstrable customer service skills
• Experience managing reservations and a waitlist
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations
• Understanding of restaurant etiquette
Job Responsibilities
• greeting and seating of guests
• managing reservations and the waitlist, controlling the flow of business
• knowledge of all opentable functions
• fulfill take out orders accurately including the collection of payment
• complete knowledge of restaurant offerings
• immediately report incidents of guest dissatisfaction, accidents, etc. to management
• check in service team members upon arrival and assist throughout shift
• sanitize high touch surfaces regularly
• complete bathroom checks every 30 minutes
• help maintain quality, cleanliness and service standards
