Role Description The Part-Time Event Technician will support live events on-site at our Lynchburg, VA location. This role involves setting up, operating, and striking audio-visual equipment including sound systems, video conferencing tools, projectors, and lighting for corporate and institutional events. The technician will assist with testing and configuring equipment, monitoring system performance during events, and promptly resolving technical issues. Responsibilities include collaborating with event organizers, following production plans and safety procedures, and maintaining equipment inventory and organization. This is a hands-on, part-time position that may require evening and weekend hours based on event schedules.

Qualifications
- Strong proficiency with Audio Visual (AV) Systems and live event setups.
- Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and perform basic equipment maintenance.
- Experience with Video Conferencing platforms and associated hardware.
- Knowledge of Lighting systems and effective setup for events.
- Hands-on experience with Projectors, screen setups, and signal routing.
- Basic understanding of signal flow, cabling, and connectivity (audio, video, and network).
- Ability to lift and move AV equipment and work on feet for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail, time management, and customer service skills.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills in fast-paced event environments.
- Prior event production or AV support experience preferred; relevant technical training or certifications are a plus.
