Position Summary
Dobco Inc. is seeking an experienced Safety Director to oversee safety operations across multiple active construction projects. This role will lead compliance efforts, drive safety initiatives, and promote a culture of safety throughout the organization.
The ideal candidate will have extensive construction safety experience, strong leadership skills, and a commitment to maintaining the highest safety standards. OSHA 500 or OSHA 510 certification is required.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development, implementation, and oversight of Dobco's comprehensive health and safety program across all projects and operations.
- Conduct regular site visits, inspections, audits, and assessments to ensure compliance with OSHA standards, company policies, and client-specific requirements.
- Investigate incidents, near misses, and safety concerns; prepare detailed reports and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Develop and deliver impactful safety training programs for employees, subcontractors, supervisors, and project teams.
- Partner with project managers, superintendents, and field personnel to identify risks and implement proactive hazard mitigation strategies.
- Maintain accurate safety records, documentation, regulatory reporting, and client-required compliance submissions.
- Promote a culture of accountability, engagement, and continuous improvement in workplace safety throughout the organization.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive construction safety experience, including oversight of multiple active projects.
- OSHA 500 or OSHA 510 certification required.
- CHST, CSP, ASP, or other advanced safety credentials strongly preferred.
- Thorough knowledge of OSHA regulations, New Jersey construction safety requirements, and industry best practices.
- Proven ability to influence and engage field personnel, project teams, and subcontractors at all levels.
- Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability and willingness to travel frequently to project sites throughout New Jersey and the surrounding region.
Salary : $120,000 - $160,000
