Driven by Dobbs, our family of brands brings together Dobbs Tire and Auto Centers—founded in 1976 in South St. Louis, MO as a family-owned complete auto care provider—and Conrad’s Tire Express & Total Car Care, founded in 1969 in Cleveland, OH. Together, we have grown into a rapidly expanding, multi-market automotive service organization that will operate across eight states in 2026, with continued growth on the horizon. Across all locations, customers can expect a full selection of quality tire brands and comprehensive automotive services, ranging from routine maintenance to advanced diagnostics and engine repair. This position reports to the Controller and supports a multi-unit business through general accounting and internal control functions and results reporting and analysis. This position is primarily responsible for the monthly general ledger close, recording of accounting transactions, aiding the preparation of financial statements, general ledger and bank account reconciliations, and management reporting and analysis. The Senior Accountant is also responsible for maintaining the fixed assets of the company and supporting the treasury function as needed.

Roles And Responsibilities
- PreparetimelyandaccurateGeneral Ledger entries and reconciliations as part of the monthly close process.
- Assistwith the preparation and posting of routine General Ledger entries.
- Record all payroll-related activity to the General Ledger with accuracy and consistency.
- Perform consolidation activities and support the year-end financial audit.
- Conduct accounting research and analysis, providing recommendations onappropriate accountingtreatment.
- Demonstrates the ability to manage complex and diverse information by researching and analyzing data, applying intuition and experience to support decision-making, designing effective workflows and procedures, andmaintaininga strong understanding of accounting theory and US GAAP.
- Identifiesand resolves problems promptly by gathering and analyzing information effectively, developing alternative solutions, contributing to group problem-solving efforts, exercising sound judgment in sensitive situations, and proactively researching and resolving accounting-related issues.
- Analyze accounting records to investigate and explain variancesidentifiedduring financial statement review.
- Support monthly balance sheet and income statement account analysis.
- Manage the Fixed Asset accounting process, including tracking, recording, and reporting.
- Maintain effective communication with internal and external customers, colleagues, and management.
- Ensure compliance with corporate policies and employment regulations, promoting a fair and compliant workplace.
- Collaborate with external auditors and provide requested documentation and support.
- Develop, document, andmaintaininternal processes, procedures, and controls; update as needed to support operational effectiveness.
- Identifyand recommend enhancements to policies, procedures, and systems to strengthen internal controls and improve productivity.

- 5 yearsof senior level accounting experiencewithin a corporate Accounting department required
- Strong knowledge and experience withfederal, state, local and corporate governance policies and compliance regulations required
- In-depth knowledge of monthly,quarterlyand year-end financial statements and standard variance analyses
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting strongly preferred
