Job Purpose:
We are seeking a Senior IT Project Manager – SAP Infrastructure to lead complex and high-impact technology initiatives within our IT department. This role will be responsible for managing large-scale infrastructure projects, with a primary focus on SAP systems—including software upgrades, database transitions, and operating system enhancements. The ideal candidate will bring a strong blend of hands-on technical project management, superior organizational skills, and a proven ability to deliver mission-critical infrastructure projects on time and within scope.
You will coordinate efforts across internal teams and external vendors, ensuring seamless execution through detailed planning, risk control, and effective stakeholder communication, all while aligning with established PMO methodologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and drive the successful delivery of SAP infrastructure projects, including SAP application upgrades, OS migrations, and database transitions.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive project documentation including charters, management plans, business and technical requirements, architecture/design documents, testing strategies, and deployment plans.
- Build and track detailed project timelines and budgets using tools like Microsoft Project and enterprise-grade portfolio management software.
- Proactively identify risks and issues, define mitigation strategies, and resolve project blockers to ensure on-time delivery.
- Host recurring project update meetings, create status reports, and present progress summaries to executives and the Project Management Office (PMO).
- Manage third-party vendors and consultants by defining scopes of work (SOWs), setting expectations, and reviewing deliverables.
- Organize and maintain project artifacts and documentation using SharePoint while adhering to established change and configuration management standards.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary teams across departments, including internal IT staff, contractors, and external service providers.
- Ensure projects achieve readiness for deployment and meet quality assurance benchmarks prior to production release.
- Promote continuous improvement by capturing lessons learned and incorporating them into future project planning and execution frameworks.
