Job Purpose:
The Senior Business Analyst – IT & Process Improvement will play a pivotal role in driving business and technology process enhancements. The role will focus on gathering and managing business requirements, mapping out workflows, and ensuring effective communication between IT and business stakeholders to deliver solutions that align with organizational objectives. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, Agile methodology experience, and hands-on proficiency with tools such as JIRA, Quality Center, and BPMN modeling.
Key Responsibilities:- Collect, document, and manage business, functional, and technical requirements in accordance with IIBA standards.
- Develop detailed business process models using BPMN and swim lane diagrams to drive process improvement initiatives.
- Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring alignment and clarity of project objectives.
- Create use cases, user stories, acceptance criteria, test plans, test scripts, and validation documentation.
- Lead and facilitate workshops, meetings, and requirements gathering sessions for both technical and business teams.
- Maintain and document project artifacts following Amtrak’s Project Life Cycle Management (PLM) guidelines.
- Contribute to Agile project delivery by supporting backlog grooming, sprint planning, and participating in Agile ceremonies.
- Ensure adherence to established policies, procedures, and standards during the project execution phase.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure solutions are scalable, measurable, and aligned with the organization’s strategic goals.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and provide actionable recommendations to optimize workflows.
