Location: NYC or Alpharetta, GA (Local Only)
Duration: 6 Months
Job Description
We are seeking a highly experienced Network SME Engineer with active CCIE certification and deep expertise in BGP, Cisco, Arista, and IPv6 networking. The ideal candidate brings strong routing and switching proficiency, overlay technology expertise, and hands-on troubleshooting experience across enterprise and IoT network environments.
Must-Have Skills (Required)
- CCIE Certification — Active and mandatory — no exceptions
- BGP — expert-level knowledge and implementation
- Cisco — design, troubleshoot, and manage Cisco network platforms
- IPv6 — strong working knowledge and deployment experience
- Routing & Switching — strong proficiency across routing protocols
- Network protocols — BGP, OSPF, Spanning Tree Protocol (STP), Multicast
- Arista — network platform design and troubleshooting
- Overlay technologies — IPSEC, DMVPN, VXLAN
- Cisco ISE — Identity Services Engine knowledge
- TACACS — authentication and access control
- DNS/DHCP — functioning and configuration knowledge
- Ability to troubleshoot network connectivity to IoT devices/sensors
- Strong overall network troubleshooting skills across complex enterprise environments
Good to Have (Preferred)
- Ansible — network automation — huge plus per JD
- Experience with multi-vendor network environments
- Background in IoT/sensor network connectivity
- Familiarity with SD-WAN and SDN concepts
- Experience with network monitoring and observability tools
