Job Description:
A Java Functional Architect in the healthcare domain designs and leads the implementation of Java-based systems focused on business functionality, ensuring alignment with healthcare standards like FHIR, HL7, HIPAA, and EMR platforms such as Epic or Cerner.
Key Responsibilities
- Translate healthcare business needs (e.g., patient data, billing, claims, interoperability) into scalable Java architectures using Spring Boot, microservices, and RESTful APIs.
- Lead design of secure, compliant systems with real-time data processing, performance optimization, and integration testing.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, conduct code reviews, troubleshoot bottlenecks, and ensure regulatory compliance (HIPAA/GDPR).
Required Skills:
- Expertise in Core Java, Spring Boot, microservices, and healthcare protocols (FHIR/HL7); experience with AWS or cloud services is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of software architecture patterns, MVC, design principles, and tools like Angular for full-stack elements.
- 10 years in Java development, with 5 in healthcare domain; excellent communication and leadership skills.
