What are the responsibilities and job description for the Territory Manager - DI position at DMI Companies?
OVERVIEW
The responsibility of the Ductmate Industry Territory Manager is to grow and maximize the market penetration levels of all product lines in a profitable and sustainable manner. To professionally, ethically and diplomatically manage the overall customer relationship and markets within their respective territory using the Counselor and Versatile Salesperson approach. This includes new and existing business partners, distributor networks, mechanical contractors, engineering firms, OEM accounts and non-traditional market channels.
Candidate must reside within the territory - Southern CA, Southern NV, Arizona, Colorado, New Mexico, West Texas, Oklahoma
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Reinforce Ductmate Industries mission statement, business model and market strategies with all business partners through ongoing communication and interactions within the territory.
- Develop and maintain a formal business plan for each channel partner along with a detailed forecast for product lines and markets that include strategies to increase sales of the product lines.
- Strategize and manage marketing dollars, promotions and co-op funds and donations.
- Evaluate partner performance using report card matrix and/or SWOT analysis.
- Participate in regional organizations, associations, and industry events.
- Train and/or educate different audiences:
- Channel partners on features, advantages and benefits of product lines.
- Sheet metal fabricators and contractors to demonstrate the application, installation and value proposition of the product lines.
- Engineering firms to demonstrate the design elements, performance characteristics and value propositions.
EDUCATION & SKILLS
- Bachelor's degree in business, sales, marketing or engineering preferred
- 3-5 years of outside or business to business sales a plus
- Willing to travel 50-75%
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Stable work history preferred
