Job Description:
As a Sr. Plumbing Engineer at DME, you will play a crucial role in supporting our diverse portfolio of projects in Life Sciences, Manufacturing and Higher Education markets. Working under the guidance of our industry staff, you will have the opportunity to lead and contribute to the design, analysis, and implementation of plumbing and fire protection systems such as domestic hot/cold water, sanitary drainage and vent systems, storm drainage systems, medical gas, laboratory gas, pumping systems, specialty waste, water treatment and natural gas distribution systems , as well as automatic fire suppression systems.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Client Interaction: Serve as main point of contact with clients and project teams to understand requirements, provide technical insights, and ensure project goals are met.
2. Technical Leader: Provide technical leadership to project teams in the design and calculation of plumbing systems meeting project specifications, industry standards and sustainability goals.
3. BIM Modeling: Utilize BIM Modeling software such as Revit and Navisworks to create detailed 3D models and engineering drawings.
4. Field Support: Assist as required in site visits for new projects, existing conditions documentation, laser scanning/modeling, and construction punch lists.
5. Documentation: Prepare comprehensive technical documentation, including design reports, specifications, and drawings.
6. Client Interaction: Collaborate with clients and project teams to understand requirements, provide technical insights, and ensure project goals are met.
7. Continuous Learning: Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to contribute fresh ideas and enhance your professional development.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Architectural Engineering or a related field.
2. 10 Years of experience.
3. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
4. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
5. Eagerness to learn and work hard.
6. Bonus: Proficiency in CAD and BIM software (e.g., Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks).
7. Bonus: Professional Engineering (PE) License
