Job Description:
As the QA/QC Manager at DME, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality, consistency, and accuracy of engineering documentation and project deliverables. You will work closely with project managers, discipline leads, and engineering staff to review drawings, specifications, calculations, reports, and other technical documents before client issuance. This position is ideal for an experienced engineering professional with a strong technical background and exceptional attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Quality Assurance Leadership: Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance and quality control procedures for engineering deliverables.
2. Document Reviews: Perform comprehensive reviews of drawings, specifications, calculations, reports, BIM models, and other project documentation for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company standards.
3. Standards Compliance: Verify adherence to applicable codes, industry standards, client requirements, and internal quality procedures.
4. Interdisciplinary Coordination: Coordinate with mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection teams to identify and resolve design inconsistencies and documentation issues.
5. Quality Audits: Conduct periodic project audits and quality reviews throughout project lifecycles.
6. Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve workflows, quality procedures, and documentation standards.
7. Mentorship and Training: Provide guidance and training to engineering staff on QA/QC processes, documentation standards, and best practices.
8. Client Support: Assist project teams in addressing client comments, review responses, and quality-related concerns.
9. Risk Management: Help identify potential project risks related to design quality and documentation accuracy before issuance.
Qualifications:
1. 10 years of experience in MEP engineering, design, project delivery, construction or quality management.
2. Strong understanding of engineering design documentation, specifications, calculations, and construction documents.
3. Experience designing, reviewing or building multidisciplinary engineering projects.
4. Bonus:
a. Experience with Bluebeam
b. Experience with Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, or other BIM/CAD platforms.
c. Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related area
5. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
