Job Summary:
The Social Media and Content Marketing Intern is responsible for executing Project Amplify DMD.
This role reports to the Marketing Manager and is part of the Marketing group, which is responsible for creating brand awareness, generating demand for our services, and driving revenue growth.
In this internship, you will own a defined content project where you will produce content across multiple formats, test performance across platforms, and document results.
You will work across LinkedIn, Facebook, and YouTube, gaining hands on experience in both organic content and a small-scale paid media test.
This role is best suited for someone who is curious, detail oriented, and interested in how content performs, not just how it is created.
What You’ll Gain:

Responsibilities (Day to Day Execution):
- Create and publish social media content aligned to campaign priorities
- Develop and edit short-form video and supporting visual content
- Maintain consistent content scheduling and execution across platforms
- Support weekly content planning and coordination
- Monitor engagement and organize performance data across posts
- Use AI tools to improve content creation efficiency and workflows
- Assist with additional campaign-related marketing activities as needed
Core Project Scope (Owned Initiative):
- Design and execute a summer-long social media growth initiative
- Experiment with emerging trends, formats, and content styles
- Publish and test content across LinkedIn, Facebook, and YouTube
- Identify patterns in engagement and content performance over time
- Develop recommendations to improve reach, engagement, and consistency
- Present findings, insights, and recommendations to senior leadership at the end of the internship
Paid Media Component (Test & Learn):
- Research and recommend the best platform for a targeted ad test
- Support set up and launch of a small paid social campaign
- Track performance and summarize results, learnings, and optimization
Skills & Experience Required:
- Rising senior entering Fall 2026 pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field
- Demonstrated interest in social media, content creation, or digital marketing
- Experience creating and editing short form video content for social media platforms
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
- Proficiency with major social media platforms (LinkedIn, Facebook, YouTube)
Preferred (Not Required):
- Experience with tools such as Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, CapCut, or similar platforms
- Exposure to social media scheduling tools such as Hootsuite
- Basic understanding of paid media platforms including LinkedIn Ads, Meta Ads, or YouTube Ads
- Experience using AI tools such as ChatGPT for content or research
- Interest in sustainability, technology, or data-driven industries
Employment Details:
This is a full-time, seasonal employee position reporting to the Marketing team, with compensation set at $20 per hour. As a seasonal employee, it is not eligible for benefits. DMD is an equal opportunity employer. Pre-employment drug screening and background checks are required.
