Duties
- Operate a wide range of construction machinery such as excavators, bulldozers, loaders, backhoes, cranes, dump trucks, water trucks, and tanker trucks to facilitate various construction activities.
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance and adherence to safety standards.
- Handle materials efficiently using material handling equipment like forklifts, front loader trucks, and roll-off trucks to support project workflows.
- Follow all safety procedures and occupational safety regulations diligently while using personal protective equipment (PPE) and adhering to safety protocols.
- Assist in site preparation activities by grading, digging, lifting, and moving materials with heavy machinery.
- Conduct minor repairs and troubleshooting on construction machinery involving hydraulics, mechanical systems, and hand tools.
- Maintain detailed logs of equipment usage, maintenance records, and safety checks to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating construction machinery such as dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, cranes (including crane operation), and other heavy equipment.
- Construction site experience with a solid understanding of safety procedures related to heavy equipment operation.
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with experience driving commercial trucks including dump trucks, water trucks, tanker trucks, and front loader trucks.
- Mechanical knowledge for performing basic maintenance tasks on construction machinery and hydraulic systems.
- Familiarity with hand tools and material handling equipment operation for efficient site management.
- Strong knowledge of occupational safety regulations related to heavy equipment operation and construction sites.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions while maintaining focus on safety and productivity.
- Prior experience with farm machinery or tankers is a plus but not required; willingness to learn is essential.
