Job Description
The Automotive Product Leader is responsible for managing automotive products as assigned by the Chief Product & Marketing Officer. This includes managing the product throughout the product lifecycle, gathering product and customer requirements, defining the product objectives, and working closely with the factories to deliver new products.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform market demand pricing research and project management in an automotive environment.
- Create and present strategic product plans, including assessments, competitive overviews, goals, portfolio analysis, and action plans.
- Be an expert on competitors and subject matter expert for assigned products.
- Develop sales tools and marketing materials to support products.
- Supervise Assistant Product Managers and train sales and marketing teams on new and existing products.
- Communicate project status to stakeholders, including senior management and cross-functional teams.
Requirements
Education:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and education.
- 5 years experience in an automotive environment managing and launching products.
- High proficiency in office productivity software, especially Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Access, and Google tools.
- Mechanical aptitude and understanding of automotive parts.
- Excellent project management, organization, and analytical skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication and people skills.
- Analytical ability, customer service skills, and decision-making skills.
