The Systems Administrator is responsible for supporting and maintaining DMA’s enterprise systems, including servers, networks, and core applications. The Systems Administrator is responsible for supporting and maintaining DMA’s enterprise systems, including servers, networks, and core applications. This role ensures system performance, security, and reliability through proactive monitoring, troubleshooting, and collaboration with infrastructure, helpdesk, and development teams. The Systems Administrator contributes to disaster recovery planning, documentation, and continuous improvement of IT operations.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain operating system performance; troubleshoot system errors and outages.
- Manage Windows Server environments, Active Directory, and Office365 administration.
- Support virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware), SAN technologies, and network infrastructure.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of security policies, access controls, and risk assessments.
- Perform vulnerability and penetration testing across network segments.
- Maintain system documentation, configuration standards, and disaster recovery procedures.
- Collaborate with vendors to evaluate, test, and implement system upgrades and enhancements.
- Serve as an escalation point for helpdesk technicians; provide hands-on support and mentorship.
- Participate in security audits and respond to compliance questionnaires.
- Contribute to the stability and scalability of DMA’s infrastructure through proactive analysis and recommendations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Technology or related field.
- 3 years experience in IT systems administration.
- 2 years experience with network and Windows security.
- Proficiency in Active Directory, Office365, and virtualization platforms.
- Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and maintain confidentiality.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Work Schedule: Regular, 40 hours/week
- Travel: Less than 10%
