Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Warehouse Worker to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for efficiently managing inventory, operating heavy equipment, and ensuring smooth warehouse distribution processes. This role requires a proactive individual with strong organizational skills and experience in warehouse operations, including order fulfillment, shipping & receiving, and materials handling. The Warehouse Worker plays a vital part in maintaining safety standards and supporting overall warehouse management to meet operational goals.
Responsibilities
- Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipping with precision to meet order fulfillment deadlines.
- Manage inventory control using warehouse management systems and RF scanners to ensure accurate stock levels.
- Operate heavy equipment such as reach trucks, forklifts, cranes, pallet jacks, and order pickers safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload shipments, ensuring proper handling of materials and adherence to safety protocols.
- Assist in stocking shelves, organizing warehouse space, and maintaining a clean work environment in compliance with OSHA standards.
- Support shipping & receiving activities by verifying incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Utilize mechanical knowledge for equipment maintenance and troubleshooting when necessary.
- Collaborate with warehouse management and supervisors to optimize workflow and improve operational efficiency.
- Follow safety procedures related to heavy lifting, materials handling, and operation of heavy machinery to prevent accidents.
- Participate in inventory audits and cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in warehouse distribution, inventory management, or related roles.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), AS400, RF scanners, and order picker technology.
- Ability to operate heavy equipment such as reach trucks, forklifts, cranes, pallet jacks, and mechanical tools safely.
- Mechanical knowledge related to equipment maintenance and troubleshooting is preferred.
- Strong understanding of OSHA safety standards and best practices for warehouse operations.
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and manual tasks regularly throughout the shift.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail for inventory control and order accuracy.
- Prior experience in shipping & receiving, order picking & packing, or manufacturing environments is advantageous.
