Job Description
The Head of HR, US is responsible for our US HRBP functions and Employee Relations. Reports directly to the US General Manager and functionally to the Global COO/CCO HRBP Leader, serving as a member of the US Leadership team which is accountable for 1500 US based members and all US business verticals that service a $18B portfolio. This engaged leader will play an important role in realizing our vision to be a purposeful and inclusive place to work, focused on partnering towards a better world and enabling our members to unleash their potential. In addition to driving the global People Strategy, the position requires the US HR Leader to support leadership at all levels in achieving the Corporate DLL strategy, the US business objectives and delivery of business results. In addition to strategic focus, the role will closely interact with all US and Global HR Centers of Excellence and plays a pivotal role in shaping organizational culture and driving alignment across business units. This is a hands-on role that requires deep collaboration, strategic foresight, and the ability to influence outcomes without direct authority.

$187,680.00 - $281,520.00
DLL is considering candidates in numerous locations. The pay estimate displayed represents the typical pay range for candidates hired for this position in the desired primary work location. Pay may be adjusted outside the projected range based on geographical differentiation as well as for any other lawful reason. Additional factors that may be used to determine your actual pay include your specific skills, years of relevant experience you possess, and other work-related qualifications. Many candidates may start in the bottom half of the applicable pay range, especially those with less experience or qualification.
This position is subject to the terms of DLL’s compensation plans and policies. Day to Day
- Embedded in the business, working side-by-side with senior leaders to translate strategy into action, elevate performance, and champion a people-first mindset that fuels enterprise success.
- Drive enterprise-wide outcomes by aligning people strategies with core business operations and priorities.
- Collaborate across functions to embed HR initiatives into daily workflows, ensuring they are practical, scalable, and measurable.
- Lead initiatives that elevate member experience and business performance, balancing strategic vision with operational execution.
- Influence without authority, building trust and credibility across all levels to drive change and adoption of key initiatives.
- Set strategic priorities for the US Leadership Team to execute and achieve ambitions defined in the Global People Strategy/DLL Strategy and US Transformation while also ensuring best in class HR operational service levels, execution, and delivery.
- Drive Transformational Change for the DLL US Region and demonstrate willingness to take bold and innovative decisions to achieve DLL Strategic objectives.
- Act as a key player/driver in the US Leadership team. Provide advice, coaching and challenge the US Leadership team in support of their individual leadership effectiveness as well as ensuring successful execution of overall HR related priorities for the business.
- Attract, lead, coach, mentor, and develop a team of HR professionals who embrace DLL values and ensure a best-in-class work environment for all DLL members.
- Pro-actively communicate and drive the HR agenda in a clear and inspiring way with various stakeholders/members throughout the organization.
- As the leader of the U.S. HR team, this role will be responsible for directly managing HR and ER Business Partners to collaborate closely with globally managed Centers of Excellence (COEs) including Shared Services, Total Rewards, Talent Acquisition, Talent Development & Learning, a. To drive the implementation of best-in-class HR services, foster continuous team development, and promote the sharing of internal and external best practices to ensure excellence across all HR functions. Inspire and influence senior leadership by providing strategic counsel grounded in data-driven insights. Championing a values-driven culture, foster alignment across business units, and lead progressive, enterprise-wide initiatives that shape regional priorities and influence global people strategies.
- In partnership with fellow global/ local HR colleagues, lead a variety of people related priorities including workforce development, employee engagement, performance management compensation, equity and inclusion, sustainability, and wellbeing.
- Create amazing member experiences during the moments that matter for our diverse workforce through member lifecycle management, design of member journeys, while driving process improvement and efficiency within the US HR Department.
- Partner heavily with all other stakeholders in the DLL network and in the HR community to ensure thought leadership and best practices are shared to ensure we deliver exceptional service.
- Plan, structure, organize, manage and control the HR department. This includes budget processes, staff and business partners, compliant with corporate policies, in such a way that the HR plan and objectives are achieved.
- Represent DLL and our People strategy during customer/partner interactions, within the ELFA and in HR professional associations.
- Drive Equity and inclusion in the region, ensuring that the local Roadmap and initiatives support DLL`s ambition.

Essentials
- Proven and progressive HR experience in a senior leadership role, responsible for HR strategy development, execution, organizational development, and HR Operations.
- Undergraduate degree in field related to human resources would be preferred.
- Is inspirational and able to motivate their team members by setting a compelling direction.
- Strong business acumen: understanding of business drivers, financials, and an excellent influencing skillset.
- Demonstrated ability to successfully lead, coach and engage with (senior) stakeholders in a matrixed organization.
