Collections Manager – Brookfield, WI
DLF Law Group, LLC, an established mid-sized collections law firm in Brookfield, Wisconsin, is seeking an experienced Collections Manager to lead and elevate our collections department. We are looking for a strategic leader to take full ownership of our collections department—driving accountability and maximizing recovery performance.
This is a true management opportunity for someone who can lead an established team and help take it to the next level. You will oversee approximately 10 collections staff, and 2 team leads while helping drive recovery performance, improve workflows, develop staff, and partner with firm leadership on departmental goals and results.
Responsibilities include:
- Leading day-to-day collections operations
- Developing and improving collection strategies and campaigns
- Monitoring KPIs, productivity, and recovery trends
- Coaching staff and team leads
- Improving accountability, reporting, and overall department performance
- Ensuring compliance with applicable laws and firm policies
Qualifications include:
- Prior collections management or similar operational leadership experience
- Strong leadership and analytical skills
- Experience improving performance in a collections or receivables environment
- Knowledge of collections compliance and regulatory expectations
- Strong financial and operational acumen, including the ability to analyze KPIs, trends, and department performance
- Ability to work effectively with internal IT and operations teams to develop, refine, and interpret reports and data
- Strong technical aptitude: experience with reporting tools, data analysis, SQL, Excel, Power BI, or similar systems is a plus
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business, or a related field preferred
- Law firm or agency collections experience preferred
