Boutique, 10-attorney Insurance Defense Litigation Law Firm is seeking a highly-skilled, motivated Litigation Attorney with at least 2 years of experience with bodily injury insurance defense OR plaintiff's personal injury to join its WEST PALM BEACH office. (This is a 100% "in office" position - it is not remote).
IDEAL CANDIDATE will have 3 years experience in 1 or more of these practice areas IN FLORIDA: Bodily Injury Defense, insurance defense litigation, general liability, professional liability, Plaintiff's Personal Injury, wrongful death, car accidents, trucking accidents, premises liability, negligent security, medical malpractice, toxic torts, construction accidents, and/or products liability.
We will consider 1st year candidates.
JOB DUTIES: analyze new claims files to assess liability and damages, drafting pleadings/motions, issuing and answering written discovery, taking and defending depositions, mediations, and trials. Should have strong research and writing skills, including using WestLaw and Lexis. Will be expected to meet with clients, respond to demand letters, prep for court hearings, substantive motions, preparing MSJs (and responses), writing detailed legal memos, status reports to carriers, settlement negotiations, and managing all files assigned to you. Should be able to prepare for, and take/defend fact and expert witness depositions, as well as party depos.
Experience with billable hours is preferred.
