Position Overview
The Account Manager serves as the key relationship builder for clients, cultivating trust-based partnerships that turn customers into loyal advocates. This role manages a portfolio of commercial and residential landscape maintenance accounts, leveraging Aspire Software to oversee client communications, work tickets, field operations, and sales activities. This position reports to the President of the Company.
They are accountable for the success of their Book of Business (BOB), focusing on client satisfaction, enhancement sales, and contract growth. With a strong emphasis on proactive communication and service quality, the Account Manager ensures all jobs are delivered on time, within budget, and with consistent excellence. This role also champions client touchpoints—intentional interactions that influence brand perception and retention.

1. Key Responsibilities
- Maintain proactive client communication through Aspire Software to build and sustain strong relationships.
- Drive enhancement sales opportunities via the Aspire pipeline to meet growth targets.
- Have a plan and manage it—create regular client touchpoints with current clients and community prospects to deepen connections and uncover opportunities.
- Property inspections are routinely completed and provided to clients to verify the quality of current scope of work and present proactive enhancement sales ideas.
- Performs all phases of the sales/design process, including, but not limited to: performing prospect call screenings, conducting client meetings, preparing cost estimates, developing proposals, and presenting project designs to prospects and clients.
- Maintaining and building positive relationships with clients and prospects, networking in the community, and contributing to the growth of the department.
2. Required Competencies and Qualifications

- Sales & Opportunity Management: Strong ability to identify, follow up on, and close enhancement sales.
- Strategic Planning: Skilled in managing rolling plans and maintaining a forward-looking pipeline of renewals and client engagement.
- Communication Excellence: Clear, professional, and persuasive in both verbal and written forms.
- Tech & Software Proficiency: Confident using Aspire Software, Microsoft Office, and other CRM or operational tools.
- Landscape Industry Knowledge: Understanding of landscape maintenance services and field operations.
3. Education and Experience
Required
- Associate Degree in Landscape Architecture, Landscape Design, or a related field, or an equivalent amount of horticultural knowledge and landscape design experience.
- Minimum of three years’ experience in landscape or hardscape account management with residential and commercial clients
- Experience with Aspire or similar operations software is a strong plus.
- Solid understanding of landscape plant material for the PA and NJ region and proper planting techniques
- Understanding of horticultural practices related to plant materials and basic understanding of low voltage lighting, water features, and irrigation systems
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs
- Excellent communication skills and ability to build rapport
- Excellent organizational, planning, follow-up, and time management skills
- Problem solving skills, creativity, and an eye for detail related to landscaping
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Landscape Architecture, Landscape Design, or a related field, or an equivalent amount of horticultural knowledge and landscape design experience
- Previous sales experience through lead generation and community involvement, preferably in the green industry
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
- AutoCAD design software experience
- Industry Certifications such as Landscape Industry Certified Horticultural Technician, Pesticide, or Arborist
