Job Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance/Reliability Engineer/Manager to lead the Plant Maintenance/Reliability team . This role involves leading a team of work administrators, and technicians (4-5 direct reports) to ensure equipment reliability and safety through preventive and predictive maintenance/reliability programs, optimizing maintenance/reliability processes to minimize downtime while maximizing operational efficiency and equipment life. This position will serve as the Equipment Reliability Champion for this highly automated 50 person plant by providing technical support to plant equipment (ex: Equipment Selection, Troubleshooting, major improvements and optimization projects) and technical training of all affected personnel. The facilities and plants include sophisticated and modern equipment like turbines, compressors, centrifuges, high pressure steam networks, DCS process control equipment, electrical equipment, and many more supplied by leading global manufacturers .
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise a team of Maintenance/Reliability personnel providing technical guidance, training, and performance feedback.
- Develop and implement maintenance and reliability strategies that align with organizational goals and industry best practices; identify opportunities for efficiency and reliability gains.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, production, quality assurance, and supply chain to streamline operations, resolve issues, drive operational excellence, and promote safety while reducing costs.
- Foster a culture of safety, collaboration, accountability, and continuous
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness and efficiency of equipment reliability and the workforce.
- Ensure the availability of plant equipment through preventative, predictive, and reliability-centered maintenance
- Conduct root cause analyses and lead implementation of corrective actions to address equipment failures and performance
- Plan and Schedule maintenance activities to ensure efficiency of resources and minimize production disruptions while maximizing equipment uptime.
- Coordinate with production and operations teams to prioritize maintenance tasks and optimize resource
- Oversee the management of spare parts inventory; implement control measures to optimize stock levels, reduce carrying costs, and minimize equipment downtime.
- Ensure compliance with relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs to meet regulatory (Process Safety Management) and internal standards.
- Develop and manage the maintenance budget; forecast expenditures, track costs, and identify avenues for cost optimization while enhancing operational efficiency.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives, such as Reliability-Centered Maintenance ( RCM) and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM).
- Train apprentices and trainees in maintenance and reliability activities to promote an environment of working as a team and continual improvement. This should include service work provided by operations personnel.
- Manage engineering and construction programs aimed at de-bottlenecking additions to the facility.
- Work with the project and construction teams during the next phases of expansion.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical (or) Electrical Engineering.
- 15 years of experience in maintenance and reliability engineering within petrochemical and chemicals plants. Managerial experience is preferred. PSM experience is a requirement.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team of maintenance
- A successful candidate must have a high level of “hands-on” experience with equipment and be proficient at solving complex equipment problems.
- In-depth knowledge of the best practices and methodologies in maintenance in addition to modern techniques that ensure high reliability, efficiency, and safety.

Pay: $140,000.00 - $160,000.00 per year
