Job Summary
The Crew Lead / Foreman is responsible for leading on-site installation teams to deliver high-quality insulation projects safely, on time, and within scope. This role requires a working leader who can manage crew performance, maintain strict safety standards, and act as the primary point of contact for clients and inspectors on the job site.
Key Responsibilities
On-Site Leadership & Crew Management
· Lead, motivate, and manage a 2–5 person installation crew on residential and commercial jobs.
· Assign daily tasks to crew members and ensure work is completed efficiently and to company standards.
· Train apprentices and installers on proper techniques, equipment handling, and material applications.
· Resolve minor on-site crew conflicts and address performance issues in real time.
Installation & Quality Control
· Work alongside the crew to install various insulation materials, including fiberglass, blown-in cellulose, and spray foam (as specified per project).
· Review blueprints, project scopes, and work orders to ensure proper material usage and R-value compliance.
· Conduct final walkthroughs to ensure the site is clean, the installation is flawless, and the job meets or exceeds client expectations.
Safety & Compliance
· Enforce strict adherence to OSHA regulations and company safety protocols.
· Conduct daily toolbox talks and ensure all crew members are utilizing proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), such as respirators, safety glasses, and protective suits.
· Monitor equipment and vehicle maintenance, reporting any deficiencies or safety hazards immediately.
· Serve as the professional face of DJG Insulation on-site, communicating effectively with homeowners, general contractors, and site superintendents.
· Document job progress, material changes, and completed sign-offs using company reporting tools.
Qualifications & Requirements
· Minimum of 3–5 years of hands-on experience in residential or commercial insulation installation is a plus but not required, with at least 1–2 years in a dedicated lead or supervisory role.
· Certifications: OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification preferred; specialized manufacturer certifications (e.g., SPFA for spray foam) are a major plus. BPI certification a plus
· Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, work in confined spaces (crawlspaces, attics), stand for long periods, and tolerate varying temperature conditions.
· Valid driver's license with a clean driving record to operate company box trucks and vehicles.
Pay: $50,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
