Project Estimator
A Project Estimator is responsible for partnering with sales and clients on building accurate estimates for various landscape enhancements, projects, and other property management needs. Continuous collaboration with vendors, subcontractors, and internal support staff is needed to ensure competitive pricing, track project status, job cost analysis, administer project setup meetings, and finalize closeout requirements for the client. In the slower parts of the season, they will assist with snow administrative work as directed by the Estimating Manager.

Job Responsibilities:
- Creates proposals amp; work orders in appropriate formats with all applicable terms, conditions, and warranties
- Updates task information based on Client needs and desires
- Processes and schedules additional contracts as sold by Sales
- Processes sold contracts and ensures all details are prepared for operational success
- Participates in the estimating/proposal generation process for small to medium landscape projects
- Estimate costs of material, equipment, and production
- Assists the Project Administrator with operational items on a seasonal and as-needed basis.
- Assists sales and the client in conceptualizing and sometimes designing projects
- Examines project performance requirements and delivery schedules
- Acts as a liaison between the company and subcontractors during the pricing phase of a project
- Advises planning and production departments on project scope and obligations
- Assists in reviewing landscape production rates to increase estimating accuracy
- Helps with administrative snow functions or special projects in the winter
- Assists other estimating team members as needed
- Answer incoming office phone calls as directed
Skills and Qualifications:
- An associate’s degree, as well as two years of prior contract administration experience, is preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and ability to learn estimating software.
- Ability to manage multiple estimates simultaneously.
- High level of accuracy.
- Superior organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and with a team.
- Intermediate math skills.
- Effective communication skills among team.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Landscape maintenance knowledge a plus but not required as detailed training will be provided.
