CNC Programmer – Automotive Manufacturing | Cleveland, OH
A rapidly growing automotive manufacturing company in the Cleveland area is seeking a skilled CNC Programmer to support its tool and die operations. This role is ideal for someone with strong experience in programming, precision machining, and inspection processes, looking to make an impact in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
What You’ll Do
- Develop, optimize, and maintain CNC programs for machining precision tooling and die components
- Create and maintain CMM inspection programs for tooling and components
- Validate programs through simulations, dry runs, and first-piece checks
- Collaborate with toolmakers, engineers, and quality teams to ensure tooling accuracy and part quality
- Troubleshoot programming, toolpaths, and machine performance issues
- Support continuous improvement initiatives in the die room
- Maintain proper documentation and revision control of CNC and CMM programs
What We’re Looking For
- 3 years of CNC programming experience, with at least 2 years of CMM programming experience
- Experience in automotive manufacturing or tool & die environments preferred
- Proficiency in CAD/CAM software and familiarity with G & M code programming
- Knowledge of manual and CNC equipment, including mills, lathes, EDM, grinders, and 5-axis machining
- Strong understanding of measurement instruments and inspection techniques
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a high-volume manufacturing setting
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to train or mentor others
Additional Details
- Must be able to work any shift and adapt to a manufacturing environment with noise, vibration, and temperature variations
- Physical requirements include lifting up to 40 lbs, navigating stairs and confined spaces, and adhering to safety PPE requirements
