Automotive Technician

Dixon Ford VW is seeking a skilled and motivated Automotive Technician to join our service team. The ideal candidate is committed to delivering high-quality repairs and exceptional customer satisfaction while working efficiently in a fast-paced environment. This position is responsible for diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing a variety of vehicle systems while following manufacturer specifications and safety standards.

Essential Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance services including oil changes, tire rotations, inspections, and fluid services.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and drivability concerns using diagnostic equipment and service information.
• Repair and replace components including brakes, suspension, steering, engine, transmission, HVAC, and electrical systems.
• Conduct thorough multi-point vehicle inspections and document findings accurately.
• Test drive vehicles as necessary to verify customer concerns and confirm repairs.
• Communicate recommended repairs and maintenance needs clearly through repair orders.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Properly use and maintain shop equipment and personal tools.
• Stay current on automotive technology through ongoing training and certification.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as an automotive technician preferred.
• ASE certifications are a plus.
• Manufacturer certifications are preferred but not required.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
• Ability to operate diagnostic scan tools and other automotive equipment.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $30.00 per hour
