Duties
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive electrical systems, schematics, and advanced automotive diagnostics tools to identify issues accurately.
- Conduct repairs on various vehicle systems including powertrain, transmissions, diesel engines, and ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems).
- Utilize hand tools and power tools to execute repairs such as engine work, welding, wheel alignments, and suspension adjustments.
- Service vehicles by replacing worn parts, performing routine maintenance like oil changes, brake repairs, and fluid checks.
- Interpret technical manuals and schematics to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical problems efficiently.
- Conduct vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards and manufacturer specifications.
- Communicate clearly with customers about repair needs and estimates while providing excellent customer service throughout the service process.
Experience
- Proven dealership or service technician experience with a strong background in automotive repair.
- Hands-on experience working with a variety of year, makes, models or is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of automotive electrical systems, ADAS calibration, and schematics interpretation.
- Skilled in diagnosing issues related to powertrain components, transmissions, diesel engines, and vehicle maintenance.
- Familiarity with auto estimating software and customer service best practices.
- Experience performing wheel alignments, vehicle inspections, welding repairs, and using diagnostic equipment.
- Prior work involving service technician responsibilities in a fast-paced environment is preferred.
