Position Title: Facility Maintenance Manager
Principle Functions
- Responsible for the daily maintenance and upkeep of church buildings and grounds to ensure they are safe, clean, secure, and comply with all regulations.
- Perform required maintenance activities to ensure church facilities, including related equipment, are maintained in a condition to allow meetings and activities to occur in a safe, secure, and comfortable environment.
Qualifications
· High school diploma with additional training or experience in skilled crafts including, but not limited to, carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical repairs.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills and basic computer skills.
· Proficiency in general maintenance activities that include, but not limited to, carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
- Capable of physically performing routine and minor repairs or renovations on facilities and equipment.
· Knowledgeable and capable of using power equipment and the required safety protocols associated with each.
· Effective problem-solving abilities and ability to organize and prioritize tasks.
· Able to identify and address issues with minimal supervision.

· Have a testimony of a born-again Christian.

- Expected to keep confidences and refrain from discussing sensitive church matters or personal matters with others except those directly involved in addressing specific issues.
Facility Maintenance Technician Responsibilities
· Routine building inspection and maintenance of buildings, equipment, and systems to identify any issues.
· Monitoring and reporting major maintenance or repair needs to the senior pastor and the buildings and grounds committee.
· Ensure proper functioning of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems, fire/security systems, and the elevator.
· Hiring and coordination of outside contractors for non-routine maintenance and repair issues outside the scope of this position to ensure that all work is completed properly and efficiently.
· Oversee and monitor ordering of needed maintenance and custodial supplies.
· Keep accurate records of all maintenance and repairs carried out on the property, as well as any incidents or accidents that occur.
· Ensure that all safety regulations are followed, including annual fire and elevator inspections.
· Ensure that all necessary regulatory documents, such as permits and licenses, are up to date and in compliance with local laws and regulations.
· Keeping accurate and updated records and documentation related to warranties, inspections, equipment service life, contracts and other information necessary to ensure maintenance issues are addressed in a timely manner with limited impact on church operations.
· Providing input to the Building and Grounds Committee on annual budget needs and long-term capital plans to address facility maintenance/replacement needs of facilities and equipment.
· Implementing policy decisions recommended by the Building and Grounds Committee and approved by the church.
- Completing purchase orders to accurately and timely document maintenance expenses and verify receipt of maintenance services in accordance with contract requirements.
- Recommending, organizing, and supervising church volunteers to help complete maintenance items, as needed.
Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
