Job Summary
This entry-level position is responsible for performing routine chemical and physical analyses under supervision, accurately documenting results, and supporting quality and production activities in accordance with established procedures.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform routine QC analyses on raw materials, in-process samples, finished products, and waste samples following approved procedures.
- Perform basic calculations using a calculator.
- Accurately record analytical results and enter data into the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).
- Notify supervision or senior technicians of out-of-specification or abnormal results.
- Prepare basic reagents and standards as instructed.
- Perform routine instrument checks and cleaning.
- Maintain retain samples and quality documentation.
- Assist senior technicians with special or non-routine sample analyses.
- Properly handle and dispose of chemical waste in compliance with safety and environmental requirements.
- Work assigned rotating schedules (including 4-on / 4-off) and provide coverage as required.
- Follow all EHS, quality, and site safety rules and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
- Associate’s degree in Chemistry or related field or equivalent laboratory/manufacturing experience is preferred.
- 0–2 years of laboratory or manufacturing experience.

Physical Requirements and Environment:
- Must be able to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 pounds regularly and occasionally heavier items with assistance.
- Requires frequent walking, standing, climbing stairs/ladders, bending, reaching, and kneeling
- Requires the ability to distinguish colors, sounds, and alarms critical to safe plant operations.
- Prolonged periods of sitting while working on a computer and laboratory instrumentation.
- Frequent reaching above shoulder height and below the waist to handle materials, equipment, and documentation.
- Must be able to wear full PPE including hard hats, safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, flame-resistant clothing, and respiratory protection as required.
- Must be able to work in varying environmental conditions including hot, cold, humid, noisy, or dusty environments.
- Must be physically able to respond to emergencies, including rapid evacuation or assisting others.
