The “C” Operator position is the entry-level role in the operator classification. Duties And Responsibilities
- Responsible for providing and receiving accurate "pass down" at shift change.
- Conduct initial rounds at the start of each shift to assess the physical condition and operational status of the assigned unit area.
- Works safely in accordance with all safety rules, operating manuals, work permits, and special instructions; ensures that all reporting operators do the same.
- Operates equipment according to general instructions from the operating procedures and specific instructions from their supervisor. Trouble shoots processes/equipment as required.
- If directed, will take responsibility for the chemical processing and all equipment in their area upon direction by Supervisor.
- Safely handle both packaged and bulk chemicals following approved handling and transfer procedures.
- Assist in area maintenance activities, including proper permitting and coordination.
- Maintain accurate inventory records during the shift through movement slips and ERP system entries.
- Maintains housekeeping standards to ensure a clean and safe work environment.
