Abdul at (224) 507-1295 Title: Sr. Accountant (CPA) - HybridLocation: Palo Alto, CADuration: 8 Months In the office 3 days/week DescriptionLooking for a Corporate Accountant with around 7 years of experience.This person will be part of our close and assist with ad hoc improvement projects. They should have worked at a software company.Must have experience with compensation-related entries as a public company such as payroll, bonus, etc. and system experience with NetSuite.Strongly preferred system experience with Coupa and Blackline.Seeking a skilled Contract Accountant to provide experienced support to our accounting team. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical accounting knowledge, attention to detail, and a collaborative approach to help strengthen documentation quality, ensure SOX compliance, and drive process consistency across the team. Key Responsibilities:Preparing or reviewing SOX-compliant working papers across areas such as payroll, bonus, and other areas to support the month and quarter-end close.Coach and mentor junior team members, providing guidance on documentation standards and accounting best practices.Be responsible for the end-to-end process for assigned areas, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and adherence to internal and SOX standards.Assist in standardizing processes and documentation across accounting functions to improve efficiency and consistency.Support ad hoc accounting projects and initiatives related to assigned business areas.Collaborate with the broader accounting and finance teams to identify process improvements and implement effective solutions.Work together with our global accounting team (US and India). Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.Active CPA certification required.Around 7 years of progressive accounting experience, ideally including review and coaching responsibilities.Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and SOX compliance requirements.Technical experience with US GAAP.Experience participating in and running month/quarter end close.Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies.Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively guide and support junior staff.Expert-level skills in Microsoft Excel.Required experience with NetSuite.
