This role is based in Charlotte, North Carolina. Remote arrangements may be considered depending on the candidate’s location, particularly if aligned with active or target development areas. Given the collaborative nature of the U.S. team, candidates should be open to transitioning to the Charlotte area over time.
Your mission will be:
- Initiate and maintain direct communication with pre-screened landowners and businesses to advance potential project sites. Remote (phone calls, emails, mailing, …) and in-person (door knocking campaigns) - so availability to travel up to 50% of the time
- Engage landowners to present project opportunities and explain development concepts clearly and professionally
- Support lease negotiations by handling ongoing discussions, addressing landowner questions, and helping move deals toward agreement under direction from the development team
- Coordinate site visits, follow-ups, and ongoing communication to maintain deal momentum
- Track and manage multiple land opportunities simultaneously, ensuring accurate records of outreach, deal status, and negotiation progress
- Conduct targeted research to support identification and evaluation of new land opportunities
- Prepare materials and summaries to support landowner discussions and internal decision-making
- Collaborate with development, legal, and engineering teams to ensure a smooth transition from site control to project development
You are the perfect fit if you meet these requirements:
- 2–5 years of experience in land acquisition, real estate, sales, or a related field
- Are comfortable engaging directly with landowners and handling ongoing conversations independently
- Can confidently support discussions around commercial terms and navigate landowner concerns or objections
- Are organized and able to manage multiple active deals at different stages
- Have strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Self-motivated and comfortable working in a fast-paced, target-driven environment
- Have familiarity with Microsoft Office and GIS tools
- Willingness to travel as needed to support site visits, landowner meetings, and project advancement
