About Diverxia

Diverxia is a global renewable energy developer with a proven track record of delivering solar and energy storage projects across multiple international markets. Backed by experienced leadership and technical teams, we focus on developing high-quality, scalable energy infrastructure that supports the transition to a more sustainable energy future.

Working at Diverxia U.S.

In the United States, Diverxia operates as a growing and focused development platform. Our team works in a highly collaborative, agile environment where individuals take ownership, contribute across multiple stages of development, and adapt quickly as markets evolve.

This role is based in Charlotte, North Carolina. Remote arrangements may be considered depending on the candidate’s location.

About the role

We are seeking a commercially-minded Mid-Level Attorney with deep expertise in the U.S. solar industry to join our legal team. In this role, you will serve as a key legal partner supporting both development and construction activities, with a strong focus on EPC contract drafting, review, and negotiation. You will work closely with project teams to provide practical, business-oriented legal advice that enables projects to move efficiently from development to construction and operation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Draft, review, and negotiate EPC contracts, subcontracts, supply agreements, and other construction-related documents for utility-scale and commercial solar projects.
  • Advise project development and construction teams on contractual rights, obligations, and risk allocation across all project phases.
  • Provide practical legal guidance on developer-side and contractor-side issues, including procurement strategy, change orders, delay claims, and performance guarantees.
  • Support the structuring and negotiation of interconnection agreements, land agreements, and other project-level contracts.
  • Assist with U.S. tax credit matters, including ITC, PTC, PWA, domestic content and FEOC compliance in addition to other regulatory matters related with development and construction activities.
  • Collaborate with external counsel, project finance teams, and business development on transactions and regulatory filings.
  • Monitor legal and regulatory developments affecting the U.S. renewable energy sector and advise the business accordingly.
  • Support internal legal operations and contribute to the standardization of contract templates and legal processes.

You are the perfect fit if you meet these requirements:

  • J.D. from an accredited U.S. law school; licensed to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
  • 5 to 7 years of experience in the renewable energy sector, specifically solar, with direct exposure to both developer and contractor perspectives.
  • Demonstrated expertise in EPC contract negotiation and drafting — this is a core requirement of the role.
  • Strong commercial instincts with the ability to identify key risks, propose practical solutions, and support deal execution efficiently.
  • Working knowledge of U.S. federal tax incentives for clean energy, including ITC/PTC, domestic content bonus credits, and FEOC compliance requirements.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex legal issues clearly to non-legal stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a fast-paced project environment.
  • Spanish language skills are a plus

What we offer:

Benefits:

  • Competitive salary based on experience.
  • Opportunities for professional development, training, and career advancement.
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance.
  • Retirement savings plan with company match.

We look forward to receiving your application!
