Job Summary
Responsibilities include managing and motivating team members and leaders responsible for inbound freight, receiving, warehouse control, material distribution within our facility, managing packaging, and shipments. Must ensure all policies and procedures are strictly followed. Monitors attendance and performance of the members in the department and implement corrective actions when necessary.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Directly supervise team leaders and team members to ensure they are complying with set procedures and standards of position.
- Establish, monitor, and improve training procedures for new Team Members or Team Leaders and verify knowledge and performance of Standardized Work.
- Coordinates with the Production Team to ensure that all items needed for shipment are accurately prepared and ready to go.
- Execute operational procedures for verification of incoming and outgoing shipments, handling, and disposition of merchandise, and keeping of warehouse inventory.
- Expediting high priority requisitions
- Packaging, shipping, and coordinating with customers for shipment
- Investigates customers' complaints involving such matters as incorrect shipments, damaged items, overcharges, and delay in shipment, and makes necessary adjustments according to established procedure.
- Access various documents and input data with a high level of accuracy
- Responsible for updating and improving efficiency of the materials organization
- Comply with safety and corporate guidelines on business ethics
- Ensures 5S within the Department
- Communicates all issues within the department to the Operations Manager.
- Actively drives Kaizen or continuous improvement activity in the department
- Strictly enforces company policies and procedures.
- Other duties may be required to ensure that Diversity-Vuteq, LLC meets and exceeds our customers’ expectations and needs.
Job Qualifications
Experience
- 2-5 years of related Warehouse/Conveyance leadership and/or experience
- Leadership experience required
- Demonstrated knowledge of processes, procedures, and Standardized Work
Skills and Abilities
- Experience in a Toyota Production System is a plus
- Demonstrated knowledge of processes, procedures, and Standardized Work
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Word, Excel and Outlook
- Strong leadership skills, excellent verbal and written communication and organization skills
- Ability to communicate professionally with people at all levels of the organization and external contacts
- Solid decision-making skills
