Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role located in Watkins, CO, for a Utilities Locator. The Utilities Locator will be responsible for identifying, marking, and documenting underground utilities using a variety of specialized tools and equipment. Day-to-day tasks include interpreting utility maps, operating locating devices, maintaining accurate records of located utilities, and adhering to safety regulations. The professional in this role will collaborate with other team members to ensure projects are completed efficiently and safely.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Utility Locating, including reading and interpreting utility maps and understanding utility systems and configurations.
- Experience using locating devices and tools specialized for Hydro Vacuum Excavation and related tasks.
- Strong skills in documentation, record-keeping, and attention to detail to accurately mark and record utility locations.
- Knowledge of safety practices and regulations in utility excavation and experience in ensuring safety compliance.
- Capability to work effectively as part of an on-site team and strong communication skills to coordinate with team members.
- Physical ability to perform fieldwork in various weather conditions and under physically demanding circumstances.
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record; CDL certification preferred.
- Experience in the construction or utilities industry is a plus.
