The Residential Caseworker is responsible for managing a caseload of youth, delivering therapeutic services, and overseeing treatment planning. This role plays a critical part in supporting behavioral progress, emotional development, and successful treatment outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload and provide primary support to assigned youth
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Conduct individual counseling sessions and therapeutic interventions
- Facilitate group therapy sessions as assigned
- Maintain a safe, structured, and therapeutic environment
- Coordinate and lead family sessions and communication
- Complete all required documentation, including progress notes and reports
- Represent clients in meetings, including court and treatment reviews
- Plan and implement therapeutic, recreational, and educational activities
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and referral sources
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree with at least 1 year of experience working with youth OR
- High school diploma with 3–5 years of related experience
- Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills
- Ability to work with adolescents in a structured setting
- Experience in residential treatment or behavioral health settings
- Knowledge of trauma-informed care and therapeutic interventions
- Familiarity with child welfare or juvenile justice systems
- Ability to work assigned shift (3:00 PM – 11:00 PM) including weekends
- Ability to obtain required PA clearances (Act 33, Criminal History, FBI Act 73)
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a treatment team
- Reliable transportation and ability to commute to Danville, PA
