DIVERSIFIED REAL ESTATE MANAGEMENT has an opportunity for an experienced BUILDING MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN in Center City Philadelphia.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Perform routine daily maintenance for a commercial property, including:
· Plumbing repair and maintenance
· Electrical repair and maintenance
· HVAC repair and maintenance
· Perform general repairs including, but not limited to carpentry and painting
· Respond to routine service and emergency related calls
·Education and Experience:
- Three or more years related work experience
- Knowledge and experience with building systems and procedures including HVAC, plumbing and electric
- Ability to read standard wiring schematics
- Experience using power tools, hand tools and pneumatic tools
- Certification in a building trade is a plus
PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Capacity to lift up to 50 pounds
- The ability to be on one’s feet for a long period of time, bending and extensive walking; ability to push and pull, climb and descend ladder to 4 feet or higher
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
- Good communication skills - ability to communicate with tenants and vendors
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Motivated and able to work independently
- Answer after-hours emergency calls and be available to work overtime as needed
- High School degree or equivalent required
- Background check and substance abuse testing may be required prior to employment
Compensation:
Pay: $28 per hour
