NOW HIRING:
Position: Paralegal
Location: New Orleans, LA
Schedule: 40 hours per week; standard office hours are 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Pay rate: Negotiable based on experience and contract parameters

What You’ll Do
- Prepare and process legal documents such as pleadings, motions, subpoenas, warrants, judgments, summonses, affidavits, and other court-related materials.
- Support trial preparation by compiling trial notebooks, jury instructions, witness and exhibit lists, exhibits, charts, photos, and presentation materials.
- Verify citations and statutory references using legal resources and prepare tables of contents, indices, and reference listings for briefs.
- Perform docketing and case support using automated case tracking systems; maintain case calendars and track filing, hearing, and trial dates.
- Assist with legal correspondence, confidential file handling, records organization, visitor/caller support, and administrative legal support for AUSA staff.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience performing paralegal or legal support work in a litigation, government, court, law enforcement, or comparable legal office setting.
- Strong ability to review legal and non-legal documents, including motions and briefs, for accuracy, completeness, and formatting.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Access or other databases, and Adobe Acrobat Professional; Relativity experience is a plus.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with attorneys, staff, external partners, and the public.
- Ability to meet deadlines, work collaboratively, and handle confidential or sensitive information with discretion.
