Position: Project Engineer
Job Type: Full-time
Schedule: 8A-5P Monday - Friday
Work Location: Hybrid 2-3 days a week (Torrance, CA)
Pay Range (Hourly): $35 to $46

Summary of Responsibilities
The IT Project Engineer bridges the gap between technical implementation and project management, responsible for designing, deploying, and overseeing IT infrastructure projects (networks, servers, cloud/O365 migrations) from initiation to completion.
This individual is expected to be an energetic, hands-on team member, experienced in handling a wide range of tasks and able to work independently with little or no supervision. . Must also be highly organized, possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, be willing and able to travel occasionally, and demonstrate an eagerness to learn new tools and take on new challenges.
Areas of Responsibility
Duties vary by project and may include deploying new PCs to end users; assisting with file and email migrations; configuration, installation and deployment of software, policies, network equipment and providing weekly updates to stakeholders.
Essential Functions
- Project Execution: Driving technical projects (e.g., office moves, server migrations, security setups) from discovery to final delivery.
- Engage in analysis and troubleshooting to resolve client issues related to project implementation.
- Maintain regular customer interaction via phone, email, teams/zoom, or in-person to ensure satisfaction.
- Utilize PowerShell and shell scripting to automate and streamline processes.
- Project Execution: Driving technical projects (e.g., office moves, server migrations, security setups) from discovery to final delivery.
- Technical Documentation: Authoring and maintaining system diagrams, and technical documentation.
- Cross-Functional Coordination: Acting as the liaison between technical subject matter experts, vendors, and stakeholders.
- Troubleshooting: Resolving complex technical issues.
- Quality Assurance: Monitoring project compliance with technical standards and performance requirements.

Education and or Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (preferred).
- 4 year of IT Project engineering or related technical role experience.
- Experience with client on-boarding, systems migrations.
- 5 years of O365 experience.
- 2 years of network troubleshooting and implementation experience.
- Equivalent combination of education and experience.
License Requirements
- Must always maintain a valid local state driver’s license in good standing.
- Must maintain valid insurance in accordance with state law when using personal vehicle.
- Must immediately advise direct supervisors immediately of any deviations of the license or insurance requirements above.
Travel Requirements
- Driving required, this position typically has 50% travel associated with its functions. (Mostly local, but occasionally out of state).
- Must have reliable transportation, able and willing to travel by air.

Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of the following:
- Strong understanding of Microsoft 365 architecture and services, including Exchange online, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive and Intune.
- Strong understanding of Windows Server, group policy, active directory, roles and services.
- Strong understanding of Microsoft Windows 11, OneDrive, printer setup and deployment.
- Proficiency in PowerShell and shell scripting.
- Experience with Cisco Meraki and networking fundamentals.
