What are the responsibilities and job description for the Marketing Manager position at Diventures?
At Diventures, we use our passion and the power of water to impact lives, change the world, and have fun doing it! The Marketing Manager contributes to our mission by telling the story of Diventures and managing marketing campaigns and programs that grow our customer base of swimmers and divers.
You will be responsible for planning, execution, and reporting/analysis of local market advertising (including digital and traditional channels), our customer newsletters, and store events. You will also manage our website and help us evolve it to deliver the best possible digital experience for our customers.
This role reports to the Chief Marketing Officer and is part of the Store Support (corporate) team. You will collaborate with Store Directors, providing each market with a high level of customer service and marketing expertise, developing and distributing materials that inform and inspire customers, and supporting customer acquisition and retention goals.
We're looking for someone with 4 years of experience who will jump on opportunities for added brand awareness and engagement, implement best-in-class marketing practices, and help unify company-wide programs.

Key Results Areas:
- Champion our mission, vision, and values and act as a responsible steward and ambassador of the Diventures brand
- Be a brand superhero by providing brand guidance and direction so our campaigns, social media, and content are consistent
- Collaborate on the annual marketing calendar and keep us on track for key initiatives
- Be a master project manager, balancing multiple projects and prioritizing timelines across all marketing activity
- Manage to the annual marketing budget, monitoring costs for campaigns, printing, digital tools, etc.
- Partner with leadership to identify new products and programs for our customers
- Develop strategic local marketing plans across paid, owned, and earned channels
- Generate content and campaign assets that attract attention by translating our unique story and offerings internally and externally
- Consistently report on the impact of marketing to our business and identify areas for improvement
- Collaborate with partner agencies in executing search and digital media programs
- Bring fresh ideas to the table and be willing to try new things
- Manage our website, including ongoing updates, improved user experience, and integration with point-of-sale tools and reporting
- Partner with local stores to draft exciting content for our email newsletter each month
- Analyze email newsletter performance and use insights to drive improved performance
- Craft marketing plans for new store acquisitions as we continue to grow across the country
- Support local teams with community events and grand opening celebrations
Key Attributes of a Successful Marketing Manager
- Broad marketing experience: We're looking for somebody with a broad base of experience who is confident executing multi-channel marketing campaigns.
- Start-up mentality: We need a Marketing Manager who is energized by and thrives in our fast pace! You should work productively without a lot of direction or guidance. Plus, you have a proactive mindset, so you are disciplined about being in the know, staying informed about marketing and consumer trends, and keeping a close eye on our competitors.
- Exceptional communication and collaboration: You'll be supporting Store Directors and Program Directors across our 18 locations, so you'll need to foster teamwork while providing subject matter expertise and guidance.
- Analytical, fiscal, and other skills: You love analyzing data and mining for valuable nuggets of knowledge, with a full understanding of marketing metrics that drive our business. You identify trends and pinpoint insights that unleash opportunities to expand and grow. You have experience managing a marketing budget, as well as competency with website management (Word Press preferred), email marketing systems (MailChimp preferred), and CMS systems.
- Customer focus orientation: Everything we do is grounded in exceptional customer experiences. Understanding your audience means putting yourself in their shoes, figuratively and literally, diving into the customer experience yourself.
- Highly detail-oriented and organized: With so many marketing projects with so many moving parts, we need someone who can handle all the deets effectively and keep things moving.
- Excellent oral and written presentation skills: You'll need the skills to communicate our brand messages, make sure our internal team is on the same page, and lead the charge in creating great marketing content.
Salary : $45,000 - $60,000
