Position Summary
The Talent & People Manager partners with restaurant leadership to support hiring, onboarding, compliance, and general people operations across the restaurant group. This is a great opportunity for someone who is highly organized, people-centered, and comfortable working across both hospitality operations and HR-related processes in a fast-paced environment.
What You’ll Do
Hiring and Onboarding Support
- Review applicants and help build candidate pipelines for restaurant leadership roles, including through job fairs, internship programs, and recruiting partnerships with colleges, universities, and hospitality programs.
- Conduct initial interviews for promising leadership candidates
- Coordinate interviews with restaurant and company leadership
- Support restaurant leadership with disciplined hiring practices focused on selecting the right Team Members
- Lead a clear, welcoming, and organized onboarding experience for new hourly and salaried team members
- Ensure completion and accuracy of new hire paperwork, personnel records, and system setup
- Check in with new team members to ensure they receive the direction, resources, and support needed to start strong
People Operations and HR Support
- Coach restaurant leaders on corrective action documentation to ensure issues are addressed clearly, consistently, and in alignment with company standards.
- Partner with restaurant leadership to ensure required certifications and training stay completed, tracked, and current.
- Prepare reporting on key people metrics
- Maintain employee records and support personnel changes such as transfers, promotions, terminations, and compensation updates
- Help administer policies, notices, and employment-related documentation
- Support benefits communication, compliance tracking, and general team member support
- Conduct exit interviews, track themes and trends, and share insights that help improve retention and the team member experience.
- Partner with leaders on people-related issues with professionalism, sound judgment, and discretion
- Support payroll administration and related people processes, depending on experience
What We’re Looking For
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in Human Resources, talent acquisition, people operations, onboarding, or a related role
- HR Certification(s) preferred
- Hospitality, restaurant, or multi-unit experience strongly preferred
- A people-first mindset with the ability to balance warmth, accountability, and good judgment
- Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus
- Experience with HR systems, benefits administration, payroll, or compliance support is a plus
