What are the responsibilities and job description for the Substitute Nurse position at DISTRICT WIDE?
Position Summary: Provide direct health services to individual students and staff.
Qualifications, certification, and Experience
- Current license as a registered nurse (RN) from the Iowa Board of Nursing
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred
- Knowledge of professional standards, the Nurse Practice Act and other statutes and regulations
- Current CPR/AED certification
- Completed studies designed to develop knowledge and skills in the following areas:
- health concerns of school youth
- physical and emotional health of children and adults
- community agencies/resources
- legal rights and due process
- Ability to manage the components of the School Health Program
