ANTICIPATED START DATE: Immediately Upon Hire

 

DETAILS: Substitute positions work on an as needed basis, 12 months per year. Must be willing to substitute at least (5) times throughout the school year.

 

COMPENSATION: The Substitute Custodian rate of pay is $15.94/hourly. A full day for a Substitute Custodian would be an 8 hour day. This position works an irregular schedule therefore, this position does not include benefits.

 

JOB SUMMARY: To provide students with a safe, clean, efficient and comfortable place in which to learn, play and develop to their full potential.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Requires prior cleaning experience, school cleaning experience preferred
  • Requires the ability to perform essential functions of the position
  • Requires the ability to safely operate all custodial equipment
  • Requires the ability to be dependable and punctual
  • Requires the ability to read & interpret documents such as operating & maintenance instructions, procedures, safety rules, etc.
  • Requires willingness to complete job-related training
  • Requires the ability to work independently, use good judgment, and be able to follow written and oral instructions
  • Requires the ability to remain flexible & positive with the demands of the job without losing sight of the mission, task or assignment
  • Requires the ability to develop effective working relationships with students and the school community
  • Requires the ability to work with a multi-ethnic, multi-cultural population
