What are the responsibilities and job description for the SUBSTITUTE CUSTODIANS position at District-Wide?
ANTICIPATED START DATE: Immediately Upon Hire
DETAILS: Substitute positions work on an as needed basis, 12 months per year. Must be willing to substitute at least (5) times throughout the school year.
COMPENSATION: The Substitute Custodian rate of pay is $15.94/hourly. A full day for a Substitute Custodian would be an 8 hour day. This position works an irregular schedule therefore, this position does not include benefits.
JOB SUMMARY: To provide students with a safe, clean, efficient and comfortable place in which to learn, play and develop to their full potential.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Requires prior cleaning experience, school cleaning experience preferred
- Requires the ability to perform essential functions of the position
- Requires the ability to safely operate all custodial equipment
- Requires the ability to be dependable and punctual
- Requires the ability to read & interpret documents such as operating & maintenance instructions, procedures, safety rules, etc.
- Requires willingness to complete job-related training
- Requires the ability to work independently, use good judgment, and be able to follow written and oral instructions
- Requires the ability to remain flexible & positive with the demands of the job without losing sight of the mission, task or assignment
- Requires the ability to develop effective working relationships with students and the school community
- Requires the ability to work with a multi-ethnic, multi-cultural population
