Substitute Cooks

SALARY:  $20.81/hour
                           
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Assist in the preparation of food, food portions and serving to students, staff and visitors
• Operate Point of Sale system
• Notify the Food Service Director or Head Cook of supplies that need to be ordered
• Clean and maintain all food service equipment, and notify the Head Cook of fixtures and equipment that needs repair or replacement
• Clean up and maintain the kitchen and garbage collection area
• Receive and store supplies and maintain all storage areas
• Follow applicable State and Federal regulations for the USDA Child Nutrition Program

REQUIREMENTS:

• High school diploma or GED
• Ability to work well within a team, interact with staff and students in a friendly and helpful manner
• Ability to work in fast paced environment
• Ability to meet physical requirements of the position
• Maine Dept. of Education Criminal History Records Check (CHRC) Authorization, or ability to obtain
