Qualifications
- Currently hold and active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) License in Tennessee
- Meet necessary health and physical qualifications
Essential Functions/Job Duties
- Administer student medication as required during the school day, with parent permission according to a physician’s order
- Responds to any emergency medical situation on a school site
- Assumes responsibility for knowing and following the safety rules and proper procedures associated with the responsibilities of the job
- Attends to medical needs of all students and staff
- Keeps up to date and detailed medical records
- Verifies student immunization records are up to date
- Conduct annual health screenings
- Consult with Registered Nurse to seek guidance if necessary
- Perform other duties as assigned
