South Harrison Co. R-II is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented School Maintenance Employee to ensure the safety and functionality of our school facilities. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing routine maintenance, repairs, and facility upkeep to create a safe and welcoming learning environment for students and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform general maintenance and repairs, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and HVAC tasks.
- Conduct routine inspections of school facilities to identify and address maintenance needs.
- Ensure school grounds, including playgrounds, sidewalks, and parking lots, are well-maintained.
- Monitor and maintain heating, cooling, and ventilation systems.
- Follow safety protocols and ensure compliance with school policies and regulations.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff and administration.
- Maintain inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment and report needs for restocking.
- Assist with snow removal, landscaping, and seasonal maintenance tasks.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
