What are the responsibilities and job description for the Personal Care Paraprofessionals position at District Wide?
The Perkiomen Valley School District is seeking personal care paraprofessionals to assist a student in special education for autistic support. These are full-time, 10-month positions which include paid time off (personal and sick days), are eligible for full benefits (medical, prescription, dental, and vision) and are available immediately.
Teacher certification is not required, however it is preferred for this position.
Buildings and Hours
South Elementary 8:00 am - 3:30 pm
Skippack Elementary 8:00 am - 3:30 pm
Middle School East 7:30 am - 3:00 pm
Purpose of Position
At the direction of the principal, assists teachers by performing a variety of tasks that promote student learning and well-being. Works individually and in small groups with students to reinforce instruction, monitor performance, and support learning. This position also performs a variety of instructional and classroom management supports.
Terms of Employment
- Full-time (7.5 hours/day); 10 months
Compensation
The starting hourly rate for thess positions are $21.00 in accordance with terms of the Perkiomen Valley Educational Support Personnel Association Collective Bargaining Agreement
