The Support Technologist II is a vital and supportive member of the PCSD team, working collaboratively with educators, support staff, and administration to achieve the shared goal of ensuring all students receive the education they need to succeed both today and tomorrow. This role is performed within a school environment, overseen by the Director of Technology Support Services, where teamwork and dedication to student success are paramount.
All staff are expected to fully adhere to the ethical standards set forth by the Georgia Professional Standards Commission, continuously demonstrating a strong understanding of the tasks and responsibilities their roles require. Qualifications & Knowledge: |
· Bachelor's Degree in Information/Computer Science from a College/University preferred. Combination of College/University/Technical College education and work experience may be substituted · Technical certifications, training, and experience to demonstrate knowledge and abilities listed below · Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in a technical service-related field · Knowledge and work to include cybersecurity and cyber safety best practices · Demonstrated knowledge and skills in computer maintenance with a good understanding of network protocols and hardware |

Provides first and secondary level user technology support for multiple schools and/or administrative buildings including the support of students and staff in the operation of computers, software, and peripherals to include but not limited to standard classroom and office technical equipment such as various computer models, printers, phones, and interactive flat panels |

Maintains, installs, and configures computer equipment, peripherals, and software applications |

Maintains routine maintenance and other necessary records or logs |

Facilitates the operation, organization, supervision of the computers, peripherals, and software for designated areas |
